Dior’s FALL WINTER 18 womenswear show took place in the Musée Rodin in Paris today. The setting was plastered with ripped magazine covers, feminist slogans, and archival posters from 1968: a year that marked political upheaval in France with student protests, workers’ strikes and the birth of the women’s liberation front...

Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri channeled these significant moments of historical protest into 21st-century garments by creating a disparate but unified collection that drew from the style codes of the late ’60s. In today’s climate of political upheaval, it was a timely and empowering reminder of what can be achieved when people come together.
